In Prayer
As I sit here, asking and praying to God about all that has happened over the past couple of days in the Middle East, He is putting on my mind that the beginning of Christianity was powerful because they believed in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and in him being the Son of God. Their biggest flex was that they did it through PRAYER, NONVIOLENCE, AND SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. That was enough to change people’s minds and see the power of the Holy Spirit. The weapon was their testimony in Jesus Christ. Somewhere down the line, it went horribly wrong and became violent. The weapons changed to using the same tactics as the carnal world😢
Actions of the Saints in the book of Revelation
In the past, I have wondered why the Church often does not teach on the book of Revelation. Now I see that maybe it’s because the one thing Christians did in the book of Revelation to achieve victory was to stand firm on the testimony of Jesus Christ. They were warned that if they fought with the sword, they would die by the sword. Nowhere does it say they had victory through violence! You can say that in the Old Testament God used war and violence, and you would be correct, but once Jesus came, he preached nonviolence and to pray for your enemy. He died on the cross without violence. He healed the soldier’s ear when Peter cut it off.
We are to live and walk like Jesus Christ!
Prayer Together as The Church
Christianity is the number one religion in the world. What if we put down our carnal weapons and, instead, 2.2 billion people all prayed at the same time to our Lord Jesus Christ for His glory and for His victory to be done? What if all 2.2 billion believers would pray for their enemies to receive Christ Jesus as their Savior! If we all believed and prayed together for that, then the enemy would be saved, we would see miracles and revival, and the enemy would put down their weapons! They would put down their weapons not in fear, but in believing in the One True God, that is, Jesus Christ! How easily we forget the greatest movements in modern history involved nonviolence through Christ’s teaching, for example, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.
For Context
One of the most epic movies of modern times was “Gladiator.” The thing is, the reason it was such an epic story was that one man stood up to the most powerful Empire in the world. In reality, one man, also divine, holy without sin and without violence, already stood up to the Roman Empire. When he sacrificed himself for all humanity and rose from the dead on the 3rd day. The epic story is and was Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. He conquered hearts with love, compassion, forgiveness, and being the light of the world. The Church’s placement in the Roman Empire happened the moment Jesus Christ stepped in front of Pontius Pilate, when the Roman soldiers witnessed how Jesus reacted to being brutally beaten, when the Roman soldiers witnessed miracles, and his resurrection. It took many years for Rome to finally adopt Christianity as its religion. Still, the moment began with Jesus and, along with his disciples, and did so without violence. Where is that same Church today?
Jericho
God keeps bringing the story of Jericho to mind. Israel, led by Joshua (a typology of Jesus), was to march around the city for six days and remain silent. On the seventh day, they were to shout and blast their trumpets. Before they did this, the commander of the Lord’s army came to Joshua. Joshua asked him, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” The Commander replied with, “Neither.” This reply surprised me because you would think that, since Israel is God’s chosen people, He would be on their side. But he replies, “Neither.” In my opinion, I think the Commander of the Lord’s army said this because God is on no one’s side. It is the other way around. We are to be on God’s side by obeying his commandments, then in doing that, we activate the covenant with God, his will for our life, and then He will carry us to victory. This reasoning is because God is all-knowing. He knows the beginning from the end. He has created all things. He is the righteous judge. Who are we to tell God what to do?
The story of Jericho is about how God moves in war. It’s a story about faith, obeying God, and trusting in God for divine victory.
World Leaders, Violence and War
Why do you think God will bless your violence when Jesus has called us to take action with love by being one with the Holy Spirit, and in prayer?
We are being deceived and led by leaders that say they are Christians but show themselves in everyway to be of the world. The serpent in the Garden tricked Eve, but God still held her accountable for her actions. Evil knows they are tricking Christians into disobeying God! That is the whole point: to get Christ believers in their flesh and fear so they will step out of God’s righteous path! The blame then is no longer on the serpent or evil people, but on the Christian who disobeyed God.
If we keep choosing violence, violence will continue, and we will be held responsible. We are not washed clean by the blood of vengeance or of others’ blood. We are washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ, the one who had no sin or violence, even when violence came for him!
Grace as God Reveals His Word
Lastly, please know that my heart goes out to the families and people who have chosen to serve in the military. They think in their hearts that they are doing the right thing. Often, it is not till later that they see the deception. So, I ask for grace, knowing God will be gracious to them.
I am speaking about all of this not to condemn, but for the Church to move forward in righteousness and to ask the hard questions. We must evaluate what we believe, how our actions align with what Jesus taught and commanded, and what the Scriptures show to be victorious and righteous actions by the Saints.
My love is for God’s people to be truly aligned with His will with prayer, love and peace.
Love and blessings,
Ash
P.S. If this does publish, when I was editing, the AI system would not suggest a title, an image, or feedback. The AI suggested rephrasing or editing my wording. The AI refused to give me feedback because what I have stated here in this post does not align with the world leaders’ plan. The AI that is used on this platform is OpenAI. To be clear, I did not rephrase my words. I don’t care what AI says on that point, or what world leaders think they can control. JESUS CHRIST will always win, no matter how many AI simulations they throw at the world!
I use AI for grammar check. That is the only thing it is only good for!
