Dear God, I Have Questions

A Breath of Prayer

I breathe in and out.

Breathe like you have never breathed before.

Aww… that was a good breath.

I needed that deep breath today.

Do you see the waves over there? I do.

They are the breath of the earth.

Listen to them crash with excitement onto the shore.

They push themselves onto the sand with no fear.

They recede to the peaceful movements of the ocean.

Each wave takes their turn washing the coast.

There is no pain or struggle, just a task to complete.

To be the breath of the earth. In and out, in and out.

God, “yes,” I want to be that wave with no fear.

“You will be.”
