I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, I loved “The Lion King” not just the movie, but the music π When The Lion King 2 came out, I was older and had moved on. About a year ago I heard the song “He Lives in You” from “The King 2.” I love that song even more than the others. I will link the song so you can listen to it. First, let me explain why I love it so muchπ If you listen carefully the song is of God and the Holy Spirit.
Here are verses to help you see the connections in the song.
The spirit of life: Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
With the fear of a child. Wait, there’s no mountain too great: Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. Matthew 17:20 Jesus said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Hear the words and have faith: Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. He lives in you. Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.
(Jesus Christ came not only to die for our sins but also to bring the Holy Spirit to all who accept Jesus Christ as their savior! This is so important to God’s plan because it is the beginning steps to be reconciled back to God in the time of Adam and Eve in the Garden. The Holy Spirit is a direct connection to the Father, to guide us away from our fleshly desires to sin.)
He watches over everything we see: Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Into the truth: John 17:17 Jesus’ prayer to God, Sanctify them by Your truth. Your words is truth.
In your reflection, He Lives in you: We are to be a reflection of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with every increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. This is why it’s so important to understand that the significance of Jesus’ coming to earth was also to bring the Holy Spirit. He told the disciples that the Holy Spirit would come after He would leave them.
That is all the verses in the song that are connected to the word of God. I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do. I rejoice with this song because the Holy Spirit is such a beautiful gift. Without the Holy Spirit, we can do nothing and we would still be separated from God. Glory and Hallelujah to our Lord Jesus Christ and God Almighty β¨οΈππππΆ
